YOU Clinic (You Wellness Clinic) is operated by Befit Star Clinic L.L.C. (“YOU Clinic”, “we”, “us” or “our”), 3rd Floor, Kempinski Hotel, Mall of the Emirates, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. We are a medical clinic licensed by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and we are responsible for the personal information described in this Privacy Policy.
This policy applies when you visit our clinic, use our website (youclinic.co), complete an online assessment, book a consultation or treatment, or otherwise contact us. We process personal information in line with applicable law, including the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data, UAE Federal Law No. 2 of 2019 on the Use of Information and Communication Technology in Health Fields, and DHA requirements.
Contact details such as your name, email address and phone number.
Identity information such as your date of birth, gender and Emirates ID or passport details, which we need to register you as a patient.
Health information, including your medical history, consultation notes, assessments, test and lab results, diagnoses, prescriptions and treatment records.
Answers you give in our online assessments, such as your health goals, energy, sleep and recovery.
Booking and billing information such as appointments, cancellations, payments and insurance details where relevant. Card payments are handled by our payment processors; we do not store your full card number.
Communications with us, including messages by email, phone and WhatsApp.
Information collected automatically when you use our website, described in section 8.
To register you as a patient, provide consultations, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up care, and keep accurate medical records.
To manage bookings, reminders, payments and any insurance claims.
To contact you about your appointments, results and care.
To send you news and offers, where you have agreed or where the law allows. You can opt out at any time (see section 9).
To improve our clinic, website and services.
To meet our legal and regulatory obligations, including DHA medical record and reporting requirements, and to keep our patients, staff and premises safe.
We use your information to provide the care and services you ask for, to meet legal and regulatory obligations that apply to medical practices in Dubai, for our legitimate business interests, and with your consent where consent is required, for example for marketing and non-essential cookies. Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time.
Your health information is confidential. Only our licensed medical team and staff who need it to provide or support your care can access it. As required by DHA, relevant clinical information may be shared with NABIDH, Dubai’s health information exchange, so that authorised healthcare providers can access it when treating you.
We do not use your health information for marketing, and we do not share it with other companies for their own purposes.
Healthcare providers and laboratories involved in your care, and insurers where you ask us to make a claim.
Regulators and authorities such as DHA, where the law requires it.
Companies in our group that provide shared services to YOU Clinic, such as customer support and IT, under confidentiality obligations.
Service providers who work on our behalf, such as booking, payments, communications, website hosting and analytics. They may only use your information to provide services to us.
Professional advisers such as auditors and lawyers.
We do not sell your personal information.
We store and process health information in line with UAE rules on health data. Some non-health information, such as website analytics, may be processed by service providers outside the United Arab Emirates, and where this happens we take the steps required by applicable law to protect it.
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. Some are needed for the site to work. Others help us understand how the site is used and measure our advertising, including Google Analytics, Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Microsoft Clarity.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work properly without them. To opt out of Google Analytics, visit https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email, reply STOP to marketing text messages, or contact us at hello@youclinic.co. We will still contact you about your appointments and care.
Subject to applicable law, you can ask to access or correct your personal information, to receive a copy of your medical records, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to delete information we are not required to keep. To make a request, email hello@youclinic.co. We may need to verify your identity before we act on your request.
We keep medical records for the period required by UAE health law and DHA rules, which is at least 25 years from the date of your last treatment. We keep other information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy or to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements, then delete or anonymise it.
We use administrative, technical and physical measures designed to protect your personal and health information. If a data breach affects your information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
We only treat minors with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, who will be asked to provide the minor’s information on their behalf.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
